On Society

Born on the Fourth of July ◇ Reveals the virtue and integrity of patriotism.

Modern Times Charlie Chaplin. Exceedingly fantastic. Reminiscent of movie Brazil.

Dr. Strangelove ◇ Director: Stanley Kubrick. Shows two planes copulating in the prologue.

Brazil ◇ Director: Terry Gilliam. ◇ paperwork gone berserk ◇ Character I love: Jill Layton (Kim Greist). Care for some necrophilia?

the Peop le vs Larry Flynt ◇ Larry Flynt is the founder of Hustler mag. With its unprecedented obscenity that made a brouhaha and he became a free speech hero.

A Clockwork Orange Screenshots

A Clockwork Orange ◇ It's about street violence and its rectification. Wonderful is the erotic arts in this film.

Greatest Love Stories

Fight Club screenshots

Fight Club ◇ A splendid love story. A philosophy class-room experience for fat upper-class white-collar American donkeys. The Marla Singer character is Helena Bonham Carter. Her inordinate oddity is sweet.

Leaving Las Vegas ◇ A fantasy land of pain. I love both Sera (Elisabeth Shue) and Terri (Valeria Golino) very much.

Lolita ◇ Director: Stanley Kubrick. Splendid masterpiece. I love Lolita Haze (Sue Lyon). I love her blondness, her tender flesh, and her consummating maturity… This is a true love story.

Run Lola Run ◇ Fate, is what it is. A great love story of exigency.

2046 ◇ A great story of a love life. Wonderful music.

“Lust, Caution” screenshots

Lust, Caution See: 天涯歌女 (The Wandering Songstress).

Harold and Maude . I enjoyed this movie, but don't find its theme particularly outstanding. It's somewhat pointless and shallow.

Pathological Creatures and Their Psychology

Batman ◇ Characters I love: The Joker, Batman. ◇ Comment: A modern thriller employing high-tech visual stunts. However, what attract me are the characters Joker and Batman, especially Joker, and the fact that the film is beautifully shot in a graphics novel style with dreary overtone. Both characters are psychopaths. Joker because he is terribly defaced (caused by Batman). Batman because his childhood trauma, where his parents are killed in a robbery by the then a young, handsome Joker. Joker hides his feelings by a eternal laughter, while Batman is eternally sulky with a serious face. This is cop and robber gone insane.

Joker calls Batman the “Sideshow phony”. Not until few years later i realized how much culture and history that jab alludes. It's so fittingly funny too. If you want to know more about sideshows, i recommend the film: Sideshow: Alive on the Inside . You'll see Conjoined twins, living person missing body parts from waist down, and others that we technically call freaks. The first time i got interested in conjoined twins is when i read about Abigail and Brittany Hensel Twins in Time mag around 1996. (Hensel Twins photo) At the time i was thinking “gosh, what a philosophical can of worm this is.”. Now i've read about and seen on video quite a few conjoined twins. They are fascinating. I would marry the Hensel twins, for their beauty.

Exotica ◇ Characters I love: Christina (Mia Kirshner), Zoe (Arsinée Khanjian) ◇ Comment: One might call this film a psychological thriller. The film is centered on few characters, each is given a intense development. Each character are morbid in one way or another. The theme of the film is similar to Sex, Lies, and Videotape Both sells on the psychology of characters and their relations.

Sex, Lies, and Videotape ◇ Cynthia (Laura San Giacomo), Ann (Andie MacDowell) ◇ Comment: A simple story of a man and his relations with his high-school friend, the friend's wife, and the wife's sister.

Crumb ◇ Documentary of a pathetic comic book artist and his morbid family. See also: Art of Robert Crumb.

Taxi Driver . ◇ Directed by Martin Scorsese ◇ a film of a schizoid.

Thomas in Love ◇ about the digital agoraphobic world many of us tech geeks live in. The beginning virtual sex scene is just fantastic. See also: Agoraphobia

Titus screenshots

Titus ◇ Director: Julie Taymor. ◇ Like other men, the part i really enjoyed and appreciated is the raping of the girl, the cutting off of her tongue, and then cutting off her hands and stick tree branches in the remaining stumps. I avow you to enjoy this timeless appreciation with me. Aside from the rape scene, i just love this movie for so many other scenes, and definitely the orgy scene. The scene where two heads are showcased by a circus-like clod and a red-headed girl is so attractive. The boy in this movie, the Goth queen and her 2 sons, and the black Aaron, and the emperor and Andronicus are all so arresting.

Here's full annotated text of The Tragedy Of Titus Andronicus.

Fact Like

Freaks ◇ Director: Tod Browning ◇ film with real deformed people. ◇ Daisy Hilton and Violet Hilton conjoint female twin. Martha Morris “armless wonder”. John Echkardt, “Johnny Eck, The Half-boy” — a man without hips and legs. Randion “the living torso” ?-1934 — a man without any limbs… Many of the females here are utterly attractive. Daisy and Violet, two sweet and docile heads in one piece. The Cleopatra womanly goddess, not deeds but body. The armless girl with her nubile bare feet. The midget woman Frieda with her sincerity and sorrow. Besides the female attraction, all other freaks here are so utterly cute and lovable. Hercules is the one person in this film that’s hateful. This film, reinforced strongly a idea, that happiness is immaterial. Also, that human animals can survive fine without limbs.

Once Upon a Time

夜宴 (The Banquet) ◇ Loosely based on Shakespeare's Hamlet. Beautiful cinematography. Terrible gongfu fighting scenes though.

Death and the Maiden ◇Great music. Torture.

Cabaret screenshots

Cabaret ◇ Director: Bob Fosse. ◇ There are many films on showgirls; this is the most revealing.

霸王别姬 (Farewell my Concubine) Director: 陈凯歌. The greatest epic in film.

活着 (To Live) ◇ Directed by Bin Wang?, Xleochun Zhang?, 张艺谋, Plot Summary: In the 1940's China, the story of a gambler's life.

红高粱 (Red Sorghum) ◇ Director: 张艺谋 (Yimou Zhang). ◇ The flaying of human animals alive.

Technological Fantasy

Final Fantasy ◇ Though this one has not received rave reviews, but i personally loved it. Imagine, this movies is produced entirely by computers, sans models even. Sometimes in the foreseeable future we'll have movies generated by computer that is indistinguishable from real-life recordings.

Logan's Run ◇ Directed by Michael Anderson (I) ◇ Classic scifi. In a utopian future, nobody becomes old. Not because medical advances, but you are required by law to be killed at 30.

2001: A Space Odyssey ◇ A realistic rendering of the year 2001. A outline of the history of human animals.

Twelve Monkeys amazon

The Matrix ◇Love Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss). Athletic, demure, calm, love lorn, good hearted. A bit under powered, but that's ok. Subsequent Matrix films are crap. I despise those computer programers who's chatting red-pill blue-pill everywhere. Fing idiots.

City of Lost Children screenshots

City of Lost Children ◇I love the little girl Miette (Judith Vittet)◇ “Sincerity always wins.”◇ Comment: fantasy, fairy tale, surreal, gloomy. There are a bunch of queer characters, some are extremely sad. Irvin suffers from chronic migraine, and Irvin is a brain living in a fish tank. Krank, who are of a supreme mind but he is incapable of dreaming. He steals dreams from children but obtains only nightmares.

“The singular burden of solitude spares no one, not even great minds” —City of Lost Children

Blade Runner ◇ The character Rachael (Sean Young) in the movie is for some reason sexy. A quite type with potent sexuality. I love the owl too.

Jurassic Park ◇ Every character in this movie is quite quirky and fascinating.

The Fly ◇ Nice normal scifi.

Apollo 13 ◇ Nice normal american heroic happy-ending movie.

Total Recall ◇ Character I love: Lori (Sharon Stone) Athletic, determined, moraless, kick ass femme fatale and blonde.

Dark City ◇ love Emma Murdoch/Anna (Jennifer Connelly) She's so silently seductive. So meek. So radiates a ripe, mature attractiveness. She's also in: Hulk , A Beautiful Mind , Requiem For A Dream . She's beautiful in all of them. She's youngest in Labyrinth

Laughing Matters

Being John Malkovich ◇ Directed by Spike Jonze. A oddity.

Princess Bride ◇ Directed by Rob Reiner.

Four Weddings and a Funeral

饮食男女 (Eat, drink, man, woman) ◇ Directed by 李安 (Ang Lee). I love that girl Rachel (played by Yu Chen) working in MacDonalds. She is the supreme dark haired flagrant goddess who reins power and throws attraction in a glimpse that draw my concentrated attention.

A Fish Called Wanda

When Harry Met Sally ◇ Directed by Rob Reiner. ◇ My God, what a beauty, that Meg Ryan, Sally Albright goody two-shoes character. Blonde, blue eyes. Clear blue eyes. Pert and perky smiles. These women go around ensnare men. I am a prey to them.

Fantasy

The Wizard of Oz ◇ Wonderful.

Dreams ◇ Director: Akira Kurosawa. ◇ I particularly liked the first few sections. One about the fox procession and one about peach tree, also the one about soldiers (tunnel).

Everyday Life Stories

American Beauty Screenshots

American Beauty ◇ Love the two chicks. One for her well-fed American teen-girl mannerism, and one for her youth crisis gothic-ness. amazon.

Heavenly Creatures ◇ Two highschool girls suspected of lesbianism, and in fear of separation, they murdered one of their mom. Based on a true story in Australia.

The Day the Sun Turned Cold ◇ Directed a Ho Yim. ◇ a simple murder mystery story

Camille Claudel ◇Camille Claudel (Isabelle Adjani) is a supremely beautiful lass.

The Ice Storm screenshots

The Ice Storm amazon ◇ Director: Ang Lee. Love Wendy Hood (Christina Ricci), Libbets Casey (Katie Holmes) for her sexiness. Love all other actors.

Rain Man

Disclosure ◇ Character I love: Meredith Johnson (Demi Moore)◇ Comment: There's nothing more important in life than the issue of Sex in the Office. Perhaps a American government branch should be erected for all sex related subject matters, with one department focusing on the law, prevention, and enforcement of sex at work. It is also commendable to invest in a tech device that can be embedded into genitals at birth, so that government can detect every illicit sexual intercourse.

The Crying Game ◇ It's not what you think!. Wonderful film.

和你在一起 (together) ◇ Director: 陈凯歌

秋菊打官司 (The story of Qiu Ju)

菊豆 (Ju Dou) ◇ Directed by Yang Fengliang, 张艺谋 (Yimou Zhang), Plot Summary: A woman married to the brutal and infertile owner of a dye mill in rural …

大红灯笼高高挂 (Raise The Red Lantern) ◇ Director: 张艺谋 (Yimou Zhang).

一个都不能少 (Not One Less) ◇ Director: 张艺谋 (Yimou Zhang)◇ about a 13-years old substitute teacher in a poor rural area of China. Wonderful film.

the red dwarf ◇ Directed by Yvan Le Moine. Black and white. A bit pointless. Art for arts sake. Supremely beautiful little girl Isis Colombe (played by Dyna Gauzy). Best acting. The clown, Bob, and the girl. The film of circuses.

Three Colors: Red ◇ Directed by Krzysztof Kieślowski. The aspect of enjoyment for this film is watching. By that I don't mean visual treats, but rather, a story told in visual form. It is not a dramatic story. The film does not engage in sexiness or any apparent excitement of the senses. Instead, it's the aspects of telling a plain story gets you fascinated much in the same way you are curious to what happened to your old friends or acquaintances. I like the judge for his unerring confidence and decisiveness. I like the girl of her sincerity, virtue, and with her fine countenance and delicate body, beauty.

Weird Shit

Pulp Fiction ◇ drugs and shooting people and pussy eating philosophy and sex-slave keeping cops. Pulpy.

Mulholland drive 2

Mulholland Drive ◇ Director: David Lynch. ◇ Eerie, scary, beautiful. Fantastic lesbian scene to boot. I love the Betty Elms/Diane Selwyn (Naomi Watts) What wouldn't i do for a blonde & blue eyes? I also love waitress at Winkies (Missy Crider). The blonde actress Lori Heuring (director's wife) is also lovely. One too many blonde running around and i'll die in heaven. The raven haired Rita (Laura Elena Harring) is also lovely. See a clip here: Llorando (in tears) from Mulholland Drive.

Tales of the Underdogs

Last Exit to Brooklyn ◇ Comment: Pain and fear of the outcast.

Do the Right Thing ◇ Comment: Pain and fear of the outcast.

Natural Born Killers . ◇ Directed by Oliver Stone.

Pain of the Human Heart

To sleep with a vampire ◇ Director: Adam Friedman. ◇ I love stripper Nina (Charlie Spradling). I love her looks, love her attitude, love her mannerism, love her despondency and destitute. I love her fairly big tits too. She's the dark haired angle.

Queen of the Damned ◇ In it, there's this chick Jesse (Marguerite Moreau) who is exceedingly womanly. I love her so. See screenshots of her at Double-Bun Hairdo Babes.

Marguerite Moreau Marguerite Moreau Marguerite Moreau Marguerite Moreau
Marguerite Moreau (b1977) as Jessie in the movie 〈Queen of the Damned〉.

Interview with the Vampire ◇ Eternal youth may not be a good thing, after all. The girl actress Kirsten Dunst (playing Claudia) is fascinating to watch.

Massive Ending Lives of Human Animals

Soldiers are slaves of the government. Patriotism is the seed of war. —Xah Lee

Apocalypse Now ◇ Often praised as the best film on war ever made. I've never seen so many helicopters flying about like a swamp of dragonflies of the tropic. These helicopters are “death from above”. The scene of the chopper attack wrung my heart out of shape. It is the best scene in the film. For the chopper scene, see: Apocalypse Now; Ride of the Valkyries.

Full Metal Jacket

Platoon

Murderer Stories

Bound ◇ A very dark black comedy showing the power of love between two womem. It features cutting off of the fingers, one by one.

Blue Velvet ◇ Director is David Lynch. We have in it a woman who's a masochist, wants to be beaten by her lover.

Primal Fear ◇ Illustrates the fantasy of total control of emotion.

Demented Killers

Silence of the Lambs ◇Character I love: Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins) ◇ Comment: The art of culinary on human flesh is the most difficult to master. I'm not much into cooking, but i long to savor a vulva or a tongue. There is a prequel Manhunter and sequel Hannibal , both are excellent. The latter involves the explicit depiction of eating of a human brain, live, with a lady. Palpitating The latest in the series Red Dragon is ok.

The Vanishing ◇ A psychological thriller focusing on a puzzling disappearance of a woman.

Psycho ◇ A classic. Based on the serial killer Ed Gein., along with the Buffalo Bill of Silence of the Lambs and the guy in Texas Chainsaw Massacre ≈1975.

The Shining ◇ Comment: Superb acting. Beautiful scenery. Standard Stanley Kubrick film. Jack Nicholson is fascinating to watch.

Animation

Watched Coraline (film) today. Pretty good. Better in first half. Not as good as i expected though, because i read the summary of the story on Wikipedia first and i think i'd love it. I didn't particular find the animation that spectacular, nor the story extraordinarily fascinating.

This movie reminds me of Pan's Labyrinth, also a fantastic film. I think i liked PL better.

The technology of this film, Stop-motion, is rather fascinating. Basically, you just take still photos and sequence them together. I couldn't imagine how such method could make a good, smooth, animation, but apparently it can.

Typically, stop-animation is done using clays for characters, because clay is easy to mold. This film is done by 3D printing to create models. Amazing technology. Imagine, in order to create this film, the have to build miniature sets, and take tens of thousands photos of it. Quite amazing. Consider what it takes to build the miniature sets, little houses, chairs, dolls… in a sense, they are high quality toys, made by dedicated professional artisans invidually for this project, a magnitude superior than those mass marketed miniature toys you could by in toy stores. Fascinating. I wonder if they sell those sets and artifacts after the film.

The Ultimate Teacher ◇ A original and outrageous comedy. The story runs around two characters, with a third in the end. A school girl leader battles a cockroachman. Later, a spiderman comes along. The cockroachman is a accident of a secret government sponsored genetic project. The spiderman was the project leader, now he is genetically engineered with spider's genes in order to match power and capture the escaped cockroachman…

Misc, Unsorted

Watched the movie The Ghost Writer today. Directed by Roman Polanski. Based on a screenplay written by him and Harris. Stars Ewan McGregor and Pierce Brosnan.

It's fantastic. The story is about a UK Premier who hired a writer to write his autobiography. (such writer is called ghostwriter) The previous ghostwriter died on the job. The new ghostwriter (Ewan McGregor) is the main character. Thru his job, he discovered that the previous writer might have been murdered. That unfolds the story.

Avatar and District 9 reviews.

Chinatown If you like suspense, this is one of the greatest. Directed by Roman Polanski. Btw, the film used the name Chinatown, but it has nothing to do with chinatown or Chinese.
